Happy Monday, and Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!!
So sorry for not updating the site sooner! We have been working on several of the same concepts for the past few weeks, and our classroom has been so busy and filled with wonderful learning!
Here are some updates:
1. Please remember to complete homework and turn it in each day!
2. Do not forget to read for at least 20 minutes per night and have your Raven record it on the reading log.
3. Do not forget to practice spelling words at home!
4. IXL and Lexia are active for our class! Please email me if you need help signing on!
Remember...Reading Logs and Homework Assignments must be turned in each day they are due! If your Raven has a challenging time with any questions on the homework, please let them try out different strategies to solve the problem. If they are still having a challenging time, assist them in any way you can! Please have your Raven circle any questions they may have had a challenging time with for me to know!
Important Dates:
12/10- Scholastic HOLIDAY Book Order forms due! Here is the link:
Project Based Learning:
Today, students began an in-class project! Their goal in their small groups is to create their own Thanksgiving Feast on a $100 budget! Today we began planning our meals in our small groups. Do you think your Raven will have the best Thanksgiving Feast? Ask them to find out more!! Pictures to come as well!
Reading:
This week, we are reading lots of Thanksgiving-related content! We will be responding to texts with writing, identifying the author's purpose for writing a story, learning how to catch a turkey, and more! Ask your Raven about the new story we will read each day this week!
Math:
We are wrapping up Topic 5! Topic 5 Show What You Know (Test) is tomorrow! Please keep practicing those Multiplication Facts! Topic 6 will be more about Multiplication as well.
Writing:
We are working on writing Personal Narratives about our trip to Plymouth Plantation! Ask your Raven which part of the trip they chose to write about!
Have a wonderful week, and a Happy Thanksgiving!
Ms. Amari
